 Maharana Pratap: The freedom fighter of India The great warrior of India Pratap Singh was one of the bravest Rajput rulers of India, known as Maharana Pratap and governed by Rajasthan Mewar approximately 35 years ago. Known as Maharana Pratap for his participation in Haldighati and Dewair, he was one of the few Indian monarchs to oppose the Mogul Empire, while other Rajput kings accepted Akbar's dominance. So we commemorate every year his birthday in India to honour the gre at king of Rajput. We shall celebrate the Pratap Jayanti Maharana on June 13th this year in accordance with the Hindu calendar.
